Welcome To Something New!

I always feel like I spend time launching something new, but honestly this really feels like more of an evolution of something I have been working on for years. I first started in photography when I moved to London and over the years I taught myself how to develop a style. Learned how to work a DSLR on manual (trust me it isn’t as scary as you might think) and learned how to edit in Lightroom. Hell I even overcame a fear of Photoshop because that program used to scare me when I started out. When you first jump into Photoshop it can be really daunting but over time with the help of tutorials on YouTube, I was able to get to grips with it.

I’ve always tried to stay humble when it comes to photography. When I started to sell prints I didn’t worry about whether people would buy them or not because I made the decision not to attempt to sell any print work until people started to ask. Last year I had a website much different to this one which centred around the sale of prints. That was fine but I soon found out that people would still order through email or social media despite the website being there.

Always looking to evolve, it is out with the old and in with the new. A new website for 2019 with new services. There is no online store here, as always you can place orders in the same way that most of you have been placing them – email, Instagram or Facebook. This website has a focus on portfolio work as well as a new Real Estate Photography and Business Photography service, but what is that all about? Well, when we start out as photographers we sample a wide range of niches from product photography to weddings, events and anything we can get our hands on. Why? Because it helps us find out what we like and what we don’t like to shoot.

Let me say that this isn’t something I have just plucked out of thin air. It has been something I have been working on silently for some time. I experimented in several different areas before I settled on interior photography. I played around with product photography, that was fun. Dipped into food and beverage photography, I wasn’t that big of a fan to be hones. Wedding photography I can scratch off straight away, I have no intention of being a wedding photographer. It doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest, yeah they get paid well but I have seen the stress they go through – no thanks.

I love to shoot architecture and the realisation of that is what led me towards real estate photography. So as the website says throughout – if you are looking to sell, if you are a real estate agent looking for high quality shots for your clients or if you are a business owner looking for high quality shots for promotional content or social media, no matter what it may be, if you are looking for an interior photographer – email me!

Keep an eye out over the coming weeks, as part of the soft launch of these services and work on growing out portfolio content there will be a period of time where you will be able to avail of these services for free. Yep, thats right – for a short period of time gearing up towards a full launch later this year, you will be able to get high quality shots for your house sale or your business for free, edited and ready to go for you.

The small print here being that each person gets one free booking in this period, full details on that to come soon.

Thanks for your support as ever,

Mark.
